Terms of Service
Last updated June 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Makora (“Makora”, “we”, “us”) governing your access to and use of the Makoraservice (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Makora is an AI-assisted platform for going from idea to software. It analyzes a product or app idea, generates a starter website/application scaffold (such as source code, a database schema, and related assets), and provides tools to test, fix, preview, and deploy that output. The Service is provided on a credit-metered basis and depends on third-party providers for AI processing, authentication, database, payments, and hosting (see our Privacy Policy). Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
2. Accounts
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Credits and usage
The Service runs on credits. Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance that is consumed when you perform actions such as analyzing an idea, improving an idea, generating a build, applying a fix, or deploying. Credits are not money, carry no cash value, and unused credits do not roll over between billing periods unless we state otherwise.
4. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal
Paid plans are sold as recurring subscriptions billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly) at the then-current price, and your payment method is charged on each renewal, until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize these recurring charges. We may change prices or plan features on a going-forward basis; material changes will apply from your next renewal.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period, after which you return to the free plan. Refunds and the treatment of remaining credits are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
6. User responsibilities
- You are responsible for the ideas, prompts, and content you submit, and for the output you choose to use, publish, or deploy.
- You must have the rights to any content you submit and must not infringe others’ rights.
- You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and securing generated output before relying on it (see Section 8).
- You must comply with these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Service to engage in or facilitate fraud, phishing, the creation or distribution of malware or spam, unauthorized access to systems, or any illegal activity, and you may not abuse credits, rate limits, or security controls. These and other restrictions are detailed in our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Violations may result in suspension or termination.
8. AI-generated content disclaimer
Makora uses automated and AI systems to produce analyses, code, and other output. This output may be inaccurate, incomplete, insecure, or unsuitable for your purpose, and may not reflect current best practices. It is not professional, legal, financial, or security advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any generated content — including for correctness, licensing, and security — before you publish, deploy, or rely on it. You use AI output at your own risk.
9. Intellectual property
Your content. You retain ownership of the ideas and content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide and improve the Service.
Generated output. As between you and us, and subject to these Terms and your active plan, you own the code and other output the Service generates for you. Output may be non-unique and similar output may be generated for others.
Our property. The Makora platform, including its software, branding, and content (excluding your content and your generated output), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms; all other rights are reserved.
10. Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party providers (including AI, authentication, database, payment, and hosting providers). Your use of features that rely on them may be subject to those providers’ terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that output will meet your requirements.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Makora and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Makora and its operators from any claims, damages, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if required for security or legal reasons, or if you fail to pay. Upon termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the operator of Makora is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The specific governing jurisdiction and venue should be confirmed by the operator.
